All Artists, Creatives and Makers:

The survey of space needs of artists, creatives, and makers of all disciplines is now closed. If you participated in this important study, thank you! Your input will help advance plans for new creative space in Downtown Shreveport, LA/Shreveport Common. Space could include live/work, studio/work-only, makerspace, gallery and other shared specialized studios, support spaces and equipment.

The Shreveport Regional Arts Council, The Educational Foundation of America, JP Morgan Chase, and Shreveport Common, Inc. have partnered to support the local creative community and make the vision of new space a reality. Artspace Projects, a national, nonprofit organization has been contracted to help, by conducting a study of the space needs of artists, creatives and makers of all disciplines in Shreveport and the surrounding region. The results of the study will help the partners attract arts-friendly developers, obtain funding that could help subsidize the cost of some live/work spaces, and conceptualize potential projects including the types and number of spaces; design features; affordability/cost of space; and amenities such as specialized tools and equipment.

We value your opinions. Your input is critical to the success of future projects and will ensure that new space meets the needs of the creative community. If you would like to receive future updates on this project please contact the Shreveport Regional Arts Council.
